>>47900981You bring up a good point, in actuality I'd say it really was Gen 6 that manifested the current soulless nu-Pokemon trends, yet they really didn't show up until 8 because of how hard Gen 7 backtracked on them.
People are quick to point out that Alola didn't even have the national dex, but conveniently gloss over the same thing happening in both Gen 3 and 6, which only proves dexcels didn't give a shit until their fake outrage in Gen 8.
I'm personally in the boat that Swoosh was just alright, if not at least good after the DLC. There's literally nothing good about XY though.
