The consensus opinions are that gens 1-2 are buggy cesspits and their success was a fluke, gen 3 temp killed the franchise, gens 4-5 are the absolute worst with sooooooo many issues (slow Kantooooo lol), Gen 6 was meh but 3d was cool, Gen 7 was alright and Gen 8 is the best so far. Whiners and screamers can't turn the board with mod conspiracy theories + no/overblown/fake little Discord screenshots you call "evidence".
