Not a discord fag here, I got out of Pokémon a little before BW came out and got back in around XYs launch, I remember trying to play BW after the fact and I couldn’t, the lack of Nu Pokémon QoL and the weird ass looking OW and Pokémon sprites kinda turned me off. Did I genuinely miss a good experience or is it falsely praised?

Same thing happened to me, I just replayed the games last week and while I think they look great (graphics wise), the constant cutscenes/forced dialogue over and over again are annoying as fuck, also not a fan of gen 5 pokemon but that’s subjective

Fucking this. The b2w2 redesign with the fans is probably even worse, slamming you into chains at high speed that can greta you, while also having bottomless pits.
Speaking of, Icirrus Gym also had a bottomless pit. Unovan Gyms, man....
