the main thing holding me back from using it is mainly that it's so outclassed in most gens past 4 and I don't have trading capabilities for 1-3 nor do I want to do another replay of gen 4 anytime soon (I played almost exclusively gen 4 for the last 7 months I would like a break)

Only Eeveelutions I haven't used in playthroughs yet are Jolteon and Umbreon, so I'll be giving Jolteon a go in whatever my next playthrough of a game is

Legendaries and Mythicals. I like a lot of them, but never use them when I play. One of these days I want to do a randomizer so hopefully I can actually use some of them instead of just tossing them in the PC.

Jolteon's pretty good, but has a pretty shallow movepool until Gen 5. Umbreon's also the only Eevee evolution I haven't used yet

idk man I've always had trouble trying to use the thing past sinnoh, seems to either get outsped by everything it's good against or just can't do enough damage before being sniped

I'd say bad EVs but those shouldn't matter in a story run so i'm confused
maybe it's just another one of those kantomons cursed with awful longevity

When building my teams for Black and for White 2 I had to make a lot of cuts, honestly gen 5 has a lot of pokemon I want to use but never have the chance to. Some day i'll get around to using Gigalith, Krookodile, Carracosta and Garbador.

I used this in a romhack where it got slight stat buffs and it was awesome. Used it in-game and it wasn't worth the time.

I have never used Mienshao or Forretres in a playthrough. It feels weird, because at the start of the journey I can’t wait to meet and use them, but when I did get to their area, I don’t want to anymore.

That thing is awesome. It’s the perfect tank wall for Lucario because of the typing and ability.

All very fun Pokemon to use.
Garbodor is a bit lacking since it is a physical attacker and its only physical Poison move is Gunk Shot at level 50-something or via Move Tutor.
Personally, I hack it so it learns Poison Jab when it evolves. No reason for it to not learn it- it literally has "arms steeped with poison", and if there's anything that can jab/stab something, it's those gangly, tube-like appendages/digits.

it takes a while to evolve, but it's worth the wait if you're patient. it's best to use it in Gen 5, since you'll get the most use out of it in the postgame.

I bought yellow in the DS just to try it, it's actually OK, teaching it dig and rock slide just to make it shine did pay off

That's a good idea.
I recently did a White run with only Mystery Gift pokémon. I especially liked using Meloetta, the 2 forms make it a nice mixed attacker to use.
The postgame in White also offers a bit of a challenge due to the level gap, so you're not so overpowered as you would think, even with mythicals.
