I'm secretly hoping we don't get any new Pokémon revealed in this presentation. Let me explain why, before everyone goes off on me. Whenever new Pokémon are revealed they usually represent the new generation they're a part of. What they did with Meltan and Melmetal kind of bothered me. They were exclusive to Go, but then at the same time they were listed in Kanto's Pokedex with no lore as to why they were in Kanto's Pokedex. Later on Sword and Shield come and Melmetal has some kind of lore with the region and the whole Gigantamax phenomenon but then isn't listed anywhere in Galar's Pokedex. To make matters more confusing HOME list the 2 under "Unknown Origin", like where the actual fuck are these 2 from then? Not to mention the fact that HOME having this "Unknown Origin" section in the app kind of makes me a little worried that we'll have more Pokémon to fill this category in the future. It just seemed like cheap gimick they did to get people to download GO. I have no problem with regional variants in Legends but if they're going to give us new species, at least have them tied to a specific region.
