honestly i'll probably enjoy this. when im not having a good day or just need to relax and chill ill wander around in botw and just gather items, or i'll do the same in genshin impact. most people get bored out of their mind by doing these kinds of tasks though and i don't blame them. this type of gameplay just isnt for you and god i really wish they made bdsp actually good mechanically so traditional pokemon players can actually have fun with something but alas

i noticed that there were food items like mushrooms and little rocks and shit too so im pretty excited for that, i know im going to like this game a lot

If you look at the wording they use to describe the missions, the game really seems to be a MH clone, instead of a BOTW clone. The map selection screen they showed, with an entire area selected, instead of just one outpost, makes me think PLA isn't open world, like it's being advertised

You might be right, you can sort of see where the area boundaries are. And Mt Coronet pretty much looks exactly the same on the horizon from every region. I'm pretty sure it's actually just a skybox texture
