To keep this on topic, though, I don't get the point of complaining about customizable skin tones. More customization options are always good, regardless of whether some weirdo wants to self-insert as their own race. Hell, I'd be complaining there isn't a color picker with hundreds more options.
For those who want to self-insert, though, it's only good business to allow the fans to do so, because like it or not, different races of kids do play these games. It makes sense to do whatever it takes (within reason) to boost sales.
