When was the last time anyone has actually cared about filling out the dex? If catching Shinx 15 times is all there is to do, yeah it'll suck, but I bet most players are just going to ignore it.

Depends on the rewards for completing them
If it's just "get X points to move on in the story" then yeah most people will probably just do the bare minimum
If you get something cool for 100%-ing a mon (which you probably won't) then it'll suck having to sit there and hope it uses Quick Attack on you

If there's something actually rewarding for doing such monotonous quests then I'm all for it but this GameFreak we're talking about. They hold online battle competitions every month and the rewards are fucking BPs anyone can get in-game easily or other items anyone can farm.
