Only on stab moves, what's its base spatk, 80? Pretty sure Hydreigon eats an ice beam from that easily if it doesn't outspeed.

The problem is there's fuck-all for good physical Ghost moves, meaning even bulky neutralities can wall it easily. Unless it gets some special new signature Ghost STAB it'll have to rely on garbage like Phantom Force and Shadow Sneak.

Assuming it doesn't have a drastic move addtion is still has a decent chance of being great. With a even moderate stat boost it could hit like a truck

I don't think it's that unlikely, since they're still using SWSH for official competitions. Patching in the last 200 Pokemon and the new Sinnoh forms to coincide with the Sinnoh games would help restore interest in the competitive scene (or at least sell more Pokebank subscriptions to people who've let it lapse).

As much as I doubt an update will happen, that's a totally different comparison to make. XY were outdated by the time ORAS came out, at least from a standpoint of competitive play as ORAS took over for that. SwSh is still the main game as far as VGC goes, so it's still relevant.

What's with this recent thing of putting handlebars on every Pokemon we ride? It started in Sun/Moon and it keeps sticking around. The whole fantasy is riding your mount buddy bareback across the wild, not slapping accessories on them. It's ESPECIALLY out of place in a game that's supposed to be in the feudal era.

At least deerbro can be ridden like he's supposed to

Basculin already has a good speed stat (by the admittedly low standards of being the regional fish-type) so an evolution will only make it higher AND it has Adaptability (unless it gets a different ability on evo.. Fishous Rend would be fucking broken as hell on it.

At least the saddles are like, actual saddles instead of the gigantic fucking thrones the SM ride pokemon had. And better yet we keep our clothes instead of changing into a neon gimp suit that makes your character look like a special needs child.
