There was that guy in GCS that took a Dragonite Hyper Beam and he just seemed dazed at worse. The possibilities are
1. Pokemon are actually super weak (not likely going off the dex entries where they break stone or steel like its nothing)
2. Humans in the Pokemon Universe are Monster Hunter levels of durable (somewhat likely but most evidence comes from the Ashime so its shaky at best)
3. Pokemon hold back against humans (this is the most likely since they know killing a human would send a whole town after them, though some Pokemon, such as Ghost types, will kill regardless)

Well it's been canon for a while that humans have an aura just like any other living being in the Pokemon world, and Lucario's dex entry can attest to that. Given that, it's easy to label the human aura as something that can handle Pokemon attacks far better than us real life beings.

Yes, it's canon. The anime is the only place where we get to see what Pokemon are truly capable of this. They explicitly stated all the way back in episode 9 that game = simulation and anime = real thing.

Holy fuck this answer was awful. It's like he has no concept of biology or spoke to a single biologist before the interview. The answer even produces such a low-level amount of speculation that can occur among fans, too. It's just the safest, most uninteresting thing he could have fucking said in order to quash any possibility that the Pokemon world was interesting.

There doesn't have to be an explanation for everything and it's nice to have some things left to imagination -- but his answer leaves nothing to imagination. Right now, it's like pokemon are the equivalent of some archea or bacteria that somehow became multicellular.

Those bombs explosions don't even work like ordinary bombs, the explosion is just a pushing force and not incineration. Hence why they also don't deal that much damage to you and enemies even when upgraded.

Not that anon but Sinnoh Folk Story mentions about how Pokemon turning into humans and vice versa. Humans can still have super human abilities though even without having a Pokemon ancestors as demonstrated numerous times throughout the franchise.
