Pokemon Legends is going to directly tie into Diamond and Pearl's story.

All the bullshit going on with Team Galactic is going to cause Dialga and Palkia to rip open a hole in time, and the Hisuian Variants and evolutions from the past are going to show up in present, and in Legends we'll see what that looks like from the other side when the Pokémon start getting red-eyed and going apeshit due to the ripples in time and Arceus existing in both time periods will be what solves it.
