I don't mind them making an open world spin off with real time combat, but my worry is that if normies lap this up, the main series will be replaced by this style. Personally, I've always thought Pokemon has one of the best turn based combat systems ever created, and it would be a shame to see it die without ever having its full potential realised in a game with a proper difficulty select.
Of course, Legends itself looks like an early access game, so unless they substantially improve it before release, I think it may bomb.
