I don't think this is a pattern. This is complete speculation but I'm guessing this is probably what happened

Seems like it. It's so strange that BDSP will have zero interactivity with S&S, it's like the games aren't even in the same generation. The visuals aren't even remotely similar. I guess generations are now one game with $30 DLC.
