Thing is for max raids if its shiny for the host it was shiny for everyone. So basically we were depending on a dedicated few who would shiny hunt for the whole thread. So basically you had group of people farming 100% legit none edited shinies with no injects needed.
At the same time the guys who shiny hunted legends during gen 7 cloned their pokemon in gen 7 put them in home and handed them out. So for a time everyone was walking around with a fuck ton of shiny pokemon with completely legit details with their own trainer id most of the time unless they got a free shiny legend.
For a time we used to do a gym chellenge too but the issue was that the average /vp/ poster is not very good at battles and often got rekt by anyone who was half trying. Hilariously enough there was a gym leader who made a super meta team for the water type gym urhsifu, toxipex etc... got rekt by some ghost user their first battle had a shit fit and left.
Was a ton of fun during the peak of gen 8 online. I think they got ran off by the massive amount of shit posting that started happening.
