If there's no plot about world domination that takes up the whole ass game and I'm just left alone in the wild with the goal of filling up the pokedex by exploring with my buds this will be the best pokemon game in years.
My main hope for this game is that catching certain Pokemon (weedles and stuff will of course still just be hanging out in the wild.) will be more of a puzzle to figure out how to get them to appear. Like an NPC will tell you that they saw a large bug in the trees to the north snacking on some food or something and then you go there and lure it out and get to fight a Heracross.
I just want anything other than all the Pokemon just spawning randomly like in the wild area.
I do hope for trainer battles there hasn't been any confirmation that they aren't in is there? Like I know having pokemon is a new thing during this era so not every 11 year-old is going to have them but still if hunting down pokemon is engaging enough I wouldn't be too upset about them being absent.
