>>47955665I didn't think much about Meditite and Medicham back in the gen 3 days, they were barely a vague memory of a side glance until I returned to pokemon in the last days of gen 5. Something clicked in me when I took a look at them again. I had grown very interested in topics like yoga, the "monk" archtype, hinduism and buddhism, in particular how omnipresent the last one is both visualy and thematically in media coming from asian countries (each one having their own specific takes, of course). There is so much going on with their designs (as simple as they may seem), moves, abilities, portrayals in anime, etc, so much background, that was probably done casualy by the japanese developers but that for people like me takes some research figuring out. The mega evolution only increased my interest on this line.
