I know the Hisuian Growlithe is a new Pokemon, but the up coming game takes place in 100s of years before Diamond and Pearl. That means the form of Growlithe is dead now. Maybe we'll see it in Pokemon Go someday.

Or they will literally use them like they were pretty common now like they did with Gen 2 and 4 evolutions (and this is a good thing, I'm fuckikg tired they forced NPCs or dumb tricks to make these Pokémon playable outside their debut game)
