>>47966435It's not the first time they pulled something because of natural disasters either, after the 2004 Chūetsu Earthquake forced them to axe AG101, an episode all about disruptive Whiscash using Earthquake to avoid being seen in poor taste, TPC seemingly went the extra mile to make sure nothing like it happened again by setting mandates with OLM that no Pokemon is to ever use a move that can cause powerful earthquakes of any form.
Earth Power only showed up twice ever in the Sinnoh anime and both of its iterations were far tamer cracks that released generic golden energy, but that was evidently still too risky and there hasn't been anything similar up until Zygarde's use of Land's Wrath, which puts even more emphasis on generic energy.
In similar vein, I wouldn't ever expect any plots that involve mass conflict and chaos in any civilizations ever again.
And to that note, I guarantee you one of the reasons GameFreak's been making less and less dangerous antagonist groups, at least in the direct extremist sense, is because TPC is pressuring them so that they can try to futureproof the anime by making them as tame as possible so nothing can possibly be seen as a disrespectful analog to real life, thereby completely fucking up plans and scheduling, thereby meaning less money.
