Am I the only one who kinda likes it when they all walk a bit different? Obviously it was awful in Sword and Shield and was just a display of incompetence but I don't really mind when it's small differences similar to the OP. Adds a bit of personality IMO.

To the people that prefer Pokemon not matching the trainer's movement speed, if a Pokémon is always going to be lagging behind and end up teleporting to you then what is the point of having them follow you in the first place if you barely get to see it happen?

A few NFEs are probably slower but most mons can keep up.
LGPE did something like that, but only with Caterpie and Weedle.

The difference is that SWSH just forces them to pop in and out if you go to far, but that’s clearly not happening here

Im going to be honest, I prefer how following works in LGPE and BDSP over how it works in HGSS. But I will say, the lagging behind the trainer thing just looks like absolute shit in SWSH. For some reason it looks alot better in those cute lil' grid environments :D

I think I agree, actually. I couldn't think of why it looks way better here than in swoosh. It's because swoosh has these massively scaled up areas. Here, it doesn't feel like your partner is getting lost or anything.

Why does this keep happening? I understood wanting to have Pokemon move at a speed natural to them, but it sucks when they can't keep up with you. If you can't have them ride their trainer, do the opposite and slow the trainer down to their speed.
