Aesthetically it was excellent and the fact that it was able to look like that 2 systems ago and Game Freak are completely unable to catch up over a decade later is pretty hilarious, but it wasn't much of an actual game.

It's very much the most stripped down game in the franchise though. They sacrificed everything just so they could focus on battles, they didn't even bother with a proper Stadium rental System. So it'd be embarrassing if it didn't have better animation (And even then they STILL recycled Pokemon Stadium animation).

its not a very interesting game to play as a result. I'd never buy a new Stadium game if it was like Battle Revolution.

The graphics and music are amazing though. Plus the trainer customization is still the best in the series. The colosseums, battles and online battling are pretty great and you can buy tons of different stuff from the shop to transfer to your DS games.

aesthetically it was trash. The greasy shader they used on the pokemon is practically the same super cheap shader used in a bunch of garbage today. It's so shit that geodude's entire mouth shines flat white.

Nah, it was just meant to be a battle sim for home consoles and it did its job fine
if it had gotten an update for Platinum's content and support for it + HG/SS it would've been perfect at its role, unfortunately those releasing meant it was outdated for like 2 thirds of the generation

What do you mean, why people are shitting on dash or why I am shitting on channel? channel is an infomercial, with almost null interactivity. It is almost as awful because like you say, it just gives jirachi but that's in europe only, I think america got nothing from it.

It is a horrible racing game that you control by moving the stylus over your character to make it run and advance in that direction, but you have to scratch the screen to barely move an inch. It is one of the worst games for the Ds that exist.

The single player was a severe downgrade of the previous Stadium and GC titles, but for playing DS battles in 3D with your friends and online it was fine.

Listen, I was there at the time, I had the trailer saved to my PC. Consider all of this:

- The Wii was unreleased and it was unknown how good games would actually look on it.
- The Groudon and Wailord are clearly an update of the original models from Colosseum/XD with the same animations. This would suggest gameplay footage.
- Literally everyone believed it was gameplay footage because that is what it was presented as. This trailer would get them in fucking trouble nowadays because it's false advertising and would need to display a Not Game Footage message underneath.
