Pokémon Legends is not the ambitious game you think it is. It is essentially a spin-off side project while they bide time for gen 9. It is LGPE with a new coat of paint

I doubt it. It looks like the new forms were made specifically to fill those roles. I also find it funny that LGPE, their first home console game, is still the most polished looking one. How do you go backwards after 4 years?

Because it's a kiddy IP, kids don't give a shit about memes like 20-something children do and the fact it's driven by kids on top (instead of KH or Star Wars) means they can afford to ignore adult wishes and just shit out kids' games every year to earn the brand money hand-over-fist as per usual.

DLC was the third edition smooth brain. They were very clear in equating it to their past third versions when revealing it in 2020.
