I feel pretty confident that there won’t be a Hisuian Basculin just because, really, what type would it be? Basculegion’s Ghost type is explicitly tied to its evolution so giving us a Water/Ghost Basculin wouldn’t really work, and any other type would end up getting overwritten by Ghost anyway. I think this is a legit cross gen evo. With that in mind I’d guess Wyrdeer probably is too, but that one I’m less confident about.

Not expecting Hisuian Rufflet either but I might be wrong about that one. I don’t think we’ve ever had an evolved regional form (NOT a regional evolution) revealed before it’s pre-evo before.

Add to this, Basculegion is really like the Gen 5 Gyarados archetype those games were lacking. It even evolves for similar reasoning, only this time via the failure of the fish who failed to swim upstream rather than the successful carp who became "dragons." So yeah, Basculin works just fine as it is.

There won't be an hisuian rufflet. Braviary and rufflet aren't native to the region. Hisuian Braviary happen when rufflet visit hisuian and evolve there.

Pidgeot appeared in a flashback as a Pidgeotto in The Fires of a Red-Hot Reunion!, when Ash recalled the night he was stuck in a snowstorm and his entire team, including Pidgeotto, helped keep Ash warm.
Also pretty weird how they didn't mention it at all in the episode where he goes back to pallet, but of course bayleef and CHARIZARD FROM KANTOOO were there.
