There is something ALL reginal forms without exceptions follow: they change the type of the original mon
Both Wyrdeer and Basculegion just add a type, so they work fine with the old mons. It'd be kind of weird if they make a Hisuian Stantler they'd have to change his type to Normal/Psychic which the original Stantler already kind of is but oh well
