Porygon is not an attempt to digitally recreate an extinct Pokémon from the Hisui region, and I don't want all its future Pokédex entries to suddenly include that because that was never what it was meant to be. It was the first artificial Pokémon, created on a computer out of 3D CG. By being virtual, there are hopes it can traverse environments that are inhospitable to normal life. It was made in the 90s as computer technology began to flourish and that is its distinct flavor.
I would sooner accept a post-game portal sending a Porygon back in time with a note mentioning the experiment and the player being unable to comprehend the modern writing or terms, and then they would have to come up with a reason why it doesn't appear in any records after.
