Why couldn't they just re-implement the Celebi event, instead of adding a new variant of a common Pokemon that could never evolve or leave the game it was made for? I genuinely do not understand why this thing exists - how someone came up with this idea, how it went through multiple phases of discussion, playtesting, and still somehow not enough people realized this was a meaningless and needlessly convoluted addition.
