>>47998423>You do not need more than 500 Pokémon to have a good gameIf there's less than 500 pokemon to collect then I'd agree with you. But since Gen 5 there's more than that. Therefore, in order to comply with the franchise premise of collecting, you have to be able to access all the collectables.
You just want to play single-player jrpg, and that's fine but not only you have, as you say, other franchises, but you can just ignore the aspect of the game(even if it is the very premise) you don't care about. But you're not the arbitrer of what is important/should be in the game. What you say is the equivalent of a coomer wanting the game to just have girls.
>but they are not made better games simply by having more monsters. The thing with Pokémon is that their mere existence does not improve the game.Agree, having all mons is the bare minimum.
>There was no National Pokédex in Gen VIIWell, if you actually played the games and followed the discourse properly, you'd know that what people want is literally what Gen 7 did and that bbnd wasnt asking for the natdex as a functionality. The 2 things that should tell you this is the fact the movement didn't start on SM's release(assuming you were even there, which, given your stance, is unlikely) plus the fact they bothered to announc the lack of the full roster at E3 for SWSH's prerelease, not SMs, meaning something did change.
>Yeah, they were still in the game's code>codein the data, not the code, then again, even fans don't seem to get this.
> but Ho-Oh might as well not even exist in SM to me>to meyou're not the arbitrer of what should be in the game.
