Did Landorus really need to exist?
Inari Okami, the spirit/deity/whatever that it is based on, literally has nothing to do with the mythological duo of Fujin and Raijin (which are whom Tornadus and Thundurus are based on), so it feels really out of place both in theme and in its design similarities with the other two.
Subtract Lando and the other two could've been a duo like Latias and Latios, especially considering Gen 5 already has another legendary trio in the form of the Swords of Justice. It would've helped a bit with the legendary bloat and overall design themes.
