>>47998041Okay well some of this stuff sounds reasonable/intruiging so I'll throw my 2 cents in.
>Ice resistsAs long as the word water doesn't follow after that, I'm good. But 5 new resists is definitely too many even if we're assuming a total Type overhaul. Ice is actually SUPPOSED to be fragile, it's just that the games currently take this way too far and mishandled it.
I can see how each of these resists make logical sense tho, except Fairy, but some are kinda loose. I notice you probably only included Grass with the understanding it would recieve a large buff as well. Grass does NOT need to be resisted more, but Ice obviously logically should resist it. (I know plant roots can break ice but that's a niche thing.) As long as Grass gets a buff in turn it's okay and works very well.
>Rock would resist itself. Eh...Wouldn't a rock be one of few things hard enough to break a rock? I often say Steel shouldn't resist itself for the same reason—you would need steel or better weapons to get passed steel armor. Also, if you made this change, you are simultaneously nerfing Rock's offensive prowess.
>BugMakes sense I guess, again as long as Bug recieves a compensation buff
>PsychicA reach but I actually don't hate this. Obviously they can pick up rocks with telekinesis no problem but a lot of rocks/gemstones supposedly have properties that protect from psychic power.
>Bug is super effective against ElectricI like this on paper, but this also isn't really a franchise where the electric monsters are high-tech devices—if it was they'd be weak to Water. Almost all of them simply shoot lightning, and Electric really isn't like a Cyber Type or anything like that. Plus, it's very easy to make the opposite case, that Bug should be weak to Electric. But you could make Bug being SE on Electric work if you wanted.
>Electric is super effective against SteelNah sorry this one's a blatant misunderstanding of how metal conducts electricity. It should stay neutral.
