I usually just beat the elite four and put it down, but after doing a 100% run for some other generations I’d like to do the same for Emerald. I own all the other GBA games and Gamecube titles and shit.

What Pokemon should I use for my team? Ideally I would like them to not be shit in battle, not share too many of the same weaknesses, and learn all the HMs to navigate the region so I don’t have to swap party members. Other perks like sleep moves for catching Pokemon or just having a cool design are appreciated. I don’t mind trading from RS or FRLG if something from there might be a really good addition.

What could be the ultimate team members for my goal? They don’t necessarily have to be ready to take on the battle frontier on their own, I’m prepared to embrace cheesier sets for that- but everything else should be covered.
