Incredible idea that only underage with bad taste can't appreciate. An amazing call back to pokemon's Ultraman roots. Was implemented well, and I had a ton of fun with it. I liked megas but I can honestly say I used and enjoyed dynamax way more. If anything should come back in future games, it's that.

As a mechanic on its own it adds absolutely nothing unlike Megas which actually made pokemon better.
Outside of that though it did give us raids which is something pokemon should have had years ago.

Because megas already have precedence as the remake gimmick, which is why they've only ever really been relevant in them.
I don't think anyone would complain if they could just make one exclusive mechanic for the new games instead of throwing shit at the wall without caring to see what sticks like with Z-Moves/Dynamax; then megas could just be something they bring back whenever it comes to the first 6 gens.

I liked it at first, but then I got bored of it.
I don't know, once the new toy syndrome wore off I just didn't feel like it actually added much to the gameplay.
Frankly, the revamped priority was a much bigger game changer to me.

That's not how a precedent works. There needs to be some kind of observable pattern and as of yet only one mainline remake has them.

Hated it when I saw it in the trailers but strategically it's a lot more fun to use than I expected - plus I love the aesthetic of it in the big Galar stadiums and the G-Max designs are great, it's going to be a shame to lose them when they inevitably discard it in favor of some other shit
