Here is the truth behind the upcoming games:
>Game freak wanted to remake gen 4 after swsh. Specifically in an SWSH style, but more "refined"
>realised it wasn't feasible with how much trouble they had with SWSH and the backlash they got
>Took what little they had and reworked it into an open world game to shut up people asking for a botw-like game. Open World engine was meant for Gen 9, and was in the backburner, until Legends Arceus began pre-development.
>outsource remakes to ILCA who have ready to use assets from HOME and SWSH combined with the "faithful" graphic style (in order to "save costs). This is why they choose the lowest possible option aside from just porting the originals. Masuda was there in order to keep the games on track, since ILCA has never developed their own game before, and to keep the remakes on track.
>Due to controversey of SWSH and GF's changes in Plan for Sinnoh, Nintendo had to intervene. This is why Gamefreak's offices are now near Nintendo (which occurred in the end of 2019). Nintendo is giving a helping hand to accelerate development for Legends Arceus.
>fool proof plan for game freak since even if people didn't like BDSP they still get a Sinnoh game and will buy both anyways since they're impatient and addicted
>two half-baked games, double the profit. They may even go in for a triple kill if gen 9 is still next year
BDSP and Legends Arceus were LAST MINUTE IDEAS. This was NOT the original plan.
