Gameplay is the only reason you'd want to change its typing, you retard.

What other reason is there? Is it just so you can stare at the typing box in its summary? It's already in the bug egg group.

That's precisely what changes, though. It changes how you play around its strengths and weaknesses, what moves you may want to consider for it, etc. It can even change how people approach teambuilding when considering using it, such as avoiding too many of a specific weakness, looking for specific resistances, not wanting to repeat types, or something of the like.
That goes for any Pokemon that is hypothetically altered.

The only wrong take here is Dragonite/Gyarados swap because they clearly share more design elements from their canon prevos. The rest are right, Gamefreak has always drastically mismanaged the games and missed countless potential because they have no _____soul__________. Bug/Dragon Flygon with sand-immune abilities makes much more sense and gives it a unique type instead of it being a forgettable Garchomp-lite. I don’t even like Flygon much, it’s just how it should be, simple as.
