Which game in Gen 1 to 5 would be the most fun with a fighting type pokemon only team and the easiest to construct one in?

Gen 5 since you can get Pignite, Throh/Sawk and Timburr all right before the second gym. Then you have Scraggy before the third and Meinfoo a little later

Gen 4's distro sucks, your choices are Machop, Meditite and not much else until you reach the Great Marsh and get Croagunk.

Having over half a team before the 2nd gym is fine.
>Chimchar evolves into Monferno, a Fighting Type by Roark
>Machop is also available before Roark
>Meditite is available before Gardenia
>Heracross is too if you’re willing to test your luck
>Ralts that evolves into the Fighting Type Gallade is available before Gym 3 but can be evolved by Gym 5 (Psychic Type still helps with Maylene)
>That’s also around the time you get Croagunk
>Riolu Egg is right after with it being available before Gym 6

Gen 3 onwards all have a good number of fighting types - enough for a full team

Gen 4 allows for non-repeating subtypes
Gen 5 is good for that too, though you would need legendaries if not on bw2.

It sucks, if you're gonna do a fighting run I think Gen 4 is the worst gen to try it on if your team can barely be assembled until the time you hit Pastoria. Even Gen3 Hoenn's selection is better

>Shoomish can be caught before gym 1
>Makuhita can be caught after gym 1
>Machop you get wherever, they're fucking everywhere
>Heracross and Meditite back to back

However both of these are inferior to Gen 5 since you need a fuckton of HMs and in either game to get anywhere versus just needing cut one time in BW.
