Im going to start a themed run for Pokemon Silver and I've decided to be a fire type trainer!
What pokemon should I use in my theme team /vp?

Fire types are so limited that basically all there is would be typhlosion obviously, magmar, ninetales, houndoom, and magcargo. Arcanine is gold only, unfortunately.

You can catch Growlithe before the first gym in Crystal and you get access to multiple fire stones. Magby in the odd egg, Flareon before the 4th gym. Entei is also there if you're into that. Ponyta can be caught before the elite four and you get Magcargo, Houndoom and Ho-Oh after reaching Kanto. In Gold/Silver you have similar options, but you have to wait to Goldenrod to get Growlithe (Vulpix instead of Growlithe in silver), no odd egg but you can find Magmar in the burned tower and you can catch Ho-Oh before Kanto. But all of this comes at the cost of only one fire stone per savefile, which is in Kanto.

I wouldnt use houndour if I already have hounddom on my team...

Without trading that only leaves you with Skarmory, Magneton, and Forretress (with trading that would be Scizor and Steelix.) Honestly, just do two types or a different generation, this one kind of sucks when it comes to the actual pokémon.

I already started with cyndiquil because I thought I was going the fire route but i'll just box him after I catch a full grass team.
