gen3 is honestly what made me quit playing it altogether.
During the gen2-gen3 gap I discovered over monster games
this was made the year the r/g came out in japan but got ported in 02

the monster tournament was an after thought to the main game, and it's still more impressive than anything the pokemon franchise has ever put out.

See the difference is that Emerald was actually a good game where Minish Cap was a sad joke compared to the handheld Zeldas that came before it.
