Samurott's entire gimmick is its swords, but it was almost certainly designed without this gimmick in mind, considering that A) the design doesn't physically accommodate the swords and it has to pull them out of a space that clearly can't actually fit them and B) it is not in a position where it can easily use a sword and has to awkwardly shift onto its hind legs to make use of its gimmick. This is especially egregious since it could just hold the sword in its mouth and stay on all fours. I feel like it's incredibly obvious they designed Samurott before they knew what its gimmick would be, which is why it isn't designed around using a sword.
