I have no motivation to play Pokemon anymore. It's not even because of the recent game's lack of quality; I even get bored with the GBC and GBA games now.

Take a break for a month or two, then return when you feel like playing Pokemon. Give yourself that pace so you can enjoy the games

Loving the franchise doesn't mean you can't play something else. Try play something else. You could even play a different monster raising game

I started playing other JRPG to fill the void left by the shitty quality

Honestly the best decision ive ever done in my life. So many better games i was missing on just because of pokemon

I took a break from Pokémon every other gen. You don’t even have to play anything - you could work on some other hobby like gardening or knitting instead.

I knitted my baby niece a blanket and crocheted her a plush cactus on my break during Gen 7 it was pretty great
