For the record I don't think it's literally supposed to only be eyeliner, I'm sure they spend a lot of time on the designs trying to make them seem suitable for both a male and female (besides some cases like Primarina, Rillaboom, Incineroar etc where they just didn't give a shit and they're clearly coded to a specific gender)
