the differences between the gen 1 and gen 2 sprites make them look like completely different creatures. 3 and 4 look like edgycool redesigns. 5 is someones attempt to turn Arcanine into a fox. 6 and 7 look like they tried to base their modeling on the original sprite. They fixed it after all this time

He looks so stiff now, like a stuffed animal. The OG sprite with the playful look is what originally made Arcanine my favorite Pokemon. I fed him every vitamin and shit I could find.

Gen 2's sprite is the only passable one out of all of them. Take off your nostalgia goggles. The only time GAME FREAK ever put any effort into anything was Gen 2.
