There are some old cartoons/anime that actually aged well like Dragon Ball Z or Batman: the Animated Series, but the early seasons of Pokemon are definitely not one of them. Most, if not all of the battles are incredibly poorly written and nonsensical, a large portion of every episode is wasted on unfunny segments and recycled animations, both with Team Rocket, and all the other portions (for the dub, at least) are filled with cringy puns because the writers were to lazy to actually create actual interesting plot points.
It's unwatchably bad, unless you're getting drunk with a friend and watch it as a so-bad-it's-good (and even there far better options to spend your time on than this garbage.
I genuinenly can't comprehend how you could unironically be so moronic as to call this show good. It's embarrassing that you are so braindead. Hell, even the older seasons, while still not good, are better because the writing is more competent, the animation is better and the fights are more interesting.
