>>48060448>It has no reason to float, and clearly slithers just like Onix does.Did you ignore the point about Sleetix floating over the water? Open the game, put Steelix in your party, go to the DLC islands, and have it follow you into the water. The fact that it has no reason to float does not negate the fact that it is clearly doing so. Explain why it is shown floating over the water if there is an explanation for that which does not include it canonically floating.
>Vanilluxe is a goddamn ice cream cone. Being able to float makes sense for it because there's no other way it would be able to move. What is "makes sense", in this case? Because this sounds like an argument that could be used to say that it makes sense for fish Pokémon to be able to float because otherwise, they wouldn't be able to battle. Apparently, when you're used to seeing it that way, common sense that dictates that it shouldn't fly goes out the window.
>>48060468>It shouldn't be floating in the first place. Game Freak are just lazy hacks. It shouldn't be floating according to who? The people who made the damn thing and decided that it floats, or the consumer who ignored signs that it floated for years and is annoyed that their headcanon has to change just like those people who seethed for weeks when it became undeniable that Venusaur was supposed to be a toad instead of a dinosaur.
>If a children's cartoon can consistently animate Steelix moving on the ground, Game Freak should be able to do the same. Cope. They don't have to do a single thing that the anime does if they don't want to.
>In fact, that's another good argument; if Steelix could float, it would just do that in the anime since it would save the animators a lot of work.Cope. The fact that it's floating ingame is not going away.
