>>48064301As somebody who only recently started playing pokeymans again as an adult with FireRed and Ultra Sun, I think genwunners have a point honestly. The new games have better core mechanics of course and the new mons are nice, but everything about the region/campaign in Kanto is better.
It doesn't interrupt you constantly, the rival isn't a pussy and always brings the banter, it has somewhat non-linear dungeons with puzzles, there usually isn't just a single new area for you to explore at a time, etc.
There is a lot of Kanto pandering in Alola but I wish it took the form of making the region more like Kanto rather than just constantly referencing it.
