More developers and better graphics will only take the games so far as long as the company is being lead by a pedo who had their brain fried by porn and a moron trying to get console games to compete with mobile. What they need is a leader with an actual vision. Marvel has Kevin Fiege, Smash has Sakurai, FF has Yoshida, but what about pokemon? Masuda is retired and literally nobody gives a shit about Ohmori. There's Ishihara but he's a literal soulless bug man in every sense of the word and has no interest in interacting with the franchise on anything but stocks. They need to get someone bold and personable to represent their brand. Someone who can take the mess that is pokemon and turn it into an interconnected franchise which encourages consumers to interact with all of its avenues. Make people who buy the games give a shit about the anime make people who watch the anime give a shit about the cardgame and people who play the card game give a shit about the manga.
