That's the power of a good character design. I remember 10 years ago their pixiv tag was one of the top tags on the site. Pokemon Masters made them both super cute and I have them hearted so I can see them all the time.

Lest we forget that their PokeMas announcement tweet on the official Twitter in Japan got around 30k-50k likes, which was a staggering difference to basically any other tweet from the account. Being a big enough deal as a human character to get merch when that right was reserved for characters like Cynthia and N was also a huge thing a decade ago, and they got a couple of things at that. Card sleeves and UFO figurines, if I recall. Japanese submas fans are scary (most of them are fujoshi anyways).

I eagerly await their PokeMas alts.

Hilariously, that's not at all the case in pokemas because he even complains about people seeing him as "too stiff" and he insists he isn't, but he's unable to actually smile. Ingo's voice lines are even more than Emmet, who seems to be the calmer one by comparison. It's actually pretty great.
