Most bird pokemon like pidgy seem to become more detailed as they evolve, like talonflame, if you think about it, a nu pidgeot would probably almost the same as the old to some extent, it really the first stages that are super babyfied, but even then I'm used to it because Hoothoot also has the same simple wings and Natu.
