What 7th Gen mons do you like? It's probably my favorite batch of mons along with Gen 1. Tell me your favorite and uh not so favorites but try to be positive pls.

I also really love the UBs, I want more of them in a Pokémon Legends Alola game

UBs were the best part for sure.
Alolan forms opened the floodgates for "remixed" pokemon species (which is a good thing).
The starters were the most lackluster since Gen 5 imo. During leak season, there were ideas being thrown around about the starters having split evolutions depending on the type of day or version (similar to Rockruff) which would have made them more memorable.
I just plain love Minior and Mimikyu.

I honestly strongly dislike most of these guys, and have really soured on them since their reveals. My favorites still remain Golisopod, Kommo-o, Silvally and Solgaleo but i'm not even sweet on those four and if given the option would probably use almost any other pokemon from almost any other generation in their place.
As for things I like about the dex, I enjoy how vibrant and fitting a lot of these are to a tropical setting- Pokemon like Bruxish or Comfey would probably look wildly out of place anywhere else and it gives Alola a unique vibe I can really appreciate. I also love the alchemic themes carried throughout the box legendaries' family, and Marshadow is one of the coolest Mythicals we've had in a good long while (even if it is just a shadowy kid with weird eyebrows lol).

I wonder if some pokemon are just inherently more appealing to most, judging from our similar likes (rowlet, mimikyu, litten, bounsweet, golisopod, jang and kommo, etc)

Decidueye, Vikavolt, Crabominable, Bruxish, Salazzle, and Drampa were on my first team when I played. Also like Mimikyu, Palossand, Pyukumuku, and Araquanid from the normal mon pool. Of UBs/Legendaries I really like Nihilego, definitely my favorite UB.

I cut out all of the mons I actively disliked. I thought the new-designed common route Pokemon are generally pretty solid. It's just most of the UBs, legendaries, Alolan forms, and starters are dumb. Regardless, it was a better dex than Gen 6 and Gen 8.

I cannoot stress enough that Gen 7 would have been one of my favorite generations if it just had FUCKING cutscene skip. Great dex, very few shitters. UBs are sick and I love Silvally.
