>>48091375There is little to no correlation with GO aside from the transferability. Stop spreading this meme.
>>48091351>Can you elaborate on this?Well to start, it's just Kanto which was never really filled to the brim with content to begin with. LGPE is certainly a good alternative to Gen 1 in that it does what it was trying to do just fine, but that's just the issue-- Both it and FRLG aren't true Gen 1 remakes. LGPE made the same exact mistakes the first remake did in imposing bullshit restrictions on Gen 1 Pokemon that never existed in the first place. You can't evolve your Pokemon like Golbat and Chansey, dark types are non-existent, and the roster is basically just Kanto + Forms.
Postgame is literally just the Mewtwo Dungeon and a bunch of 1v1 "Master" Trainers, and while it's a fun romp it doesn't have nearly the amount of content to keep you interested and it all generally feels like padding.
On the brighter side, it is the most non-linear game to date and it gives us a taste of what true Open World Pokemon feels like. You can do any of the gyms past Misty in any order so long as Giovanni is the last, HMs are reworked to be based on the Pokemon themselves instead of a moveslot and you're capable of getting any of them in any order. So after the 2nd badge you can just make a mad dash to get Surf and you're free to go basically anywhere.
>How are the battle models? They utilize a more realistic and polished style than the 3DS Games, SWSH, and BDSP. So everything looks really detailed and slightly less sterile. The only real issue is that the animations are also exactly the same, but you do get more use out of them like with the Walking and Running animations where each Pokemon has their own character.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRZULDkQyXkPick it up if you're really itching. Unlike the rest of Gen 7 and 8 LGPE actually maintains the classic formula pretty well and tries something new with catching. Like I said, it's fun, just not what it should be.
