>kept regional variants instead of discarding them like every other gimmick
>brought back cross gen evolutions, combined them with the regional variants
>full view camera in wild area
>multiple daycares
>added new non legendaries in a spinoff game (legends arceus) after the expansion of swsh had their extra legendaries already
>actually a dark type gym finally
>they added Scotland
Gen 8 isn't all that bad
