Nowadays I mostly have /vp/ on a side tab out of habit, but rarely post anymore. Whenever I enter an interesting thread and see the usual discord retards (and the newfags who see them and think their kind is welcome) spamming their dumb fallacious bullshit I just close the thread: it's not even worth it, you already know it's gonna be a loss of time.
I can't even mention anything about Unova or Johto without attracting them like flies to honey. It's already amazing this thread didn't get derailed yet, guess it caught them on a busy moment.
And if I cannot have honest discussions of the things I love and hate about my favorite generations anymore, what's the point?
We've had waves of furries and extremely dedicated autists before (there was an alolafag in recent times who spent like two years searching for every old poll in the archives and botting them), but at least mods did something in the past. It feels like the site is abandoned now, not just /vp/.
I'm just waiting to see if things get quiet when school starts and the kids go back to being academic slaves. Fuck the chinks by the way, 4chan has been on summer mode since 2020 because of those soulless bugmen.
