I'm curious, if I have, as of gen7, a full living dex. If I pay for Home and move them into there to work on a complete living dex, do I have to pay for home every year or something or does skipping a payment just lock you from certain features? I'd only be using it as general storage so I don't care if I just lose some features as long as my stored pokemon aren't wiped out or anything.

Yes, but not pokemon deletion. I have tons of(albeit unimportant) stuff locked that I might check again when BDSP opens up the first 4 gens.
I'd at least transfer everything possible to SWSH.

Currently working on my living form dex since i've never actually completed a main series pokedex before (kid me was too lazy and never bothered for some reason). Started with gen 3 and i've been working my way up, only relying on events and trades when I have to. Currently on gen 6, with all of gen 5 + forms already handled.

ive got 3 living dexes this way
>Gen 1-7 on ultra moon
>Gen 1-8 in Bank
>all possible mons on Sword.
i did have to catch all Galar pokemon twice, and get all the legendaries a second time, but it was worth it.

Not yet, but I might eventually. That will require me to finish AS and US, trade for the missing mons before the 3DS trade servers shut, and then transfer them to Bank to fill that, plus get the Sw DLC and fill the dex there.
